Bradberri – “August”

An impactful single with dynamic tonal range, “August” is the latest from Bradberri. “Do it again,” escalating vocals ring out, into “the heatwave melted,” sigh-of-relief as warming guitar twangs take hold amidst soaring vocals. Brassy flourishes resonate at various points, from the initial understated folk-centric lushness to the triumphant “are you waiting for me too?” expanse. The final minute is especially riveting with its convergence of brass, ardent vocals, and twangy guitars.

Bradberri describes the track: “A love song about what could have been or what could be. The feeling of longing and wondering if it’s mutual.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2023’ Spotify playlist.
