Ian Vargo – “The Wild”

/

“The Wild” struts a flourishing, expanding production — traversing from quaint mellowness into a psych-pop splendor. The track comes via Ian Vargo, who describes it as “a song about nature, and the loss of a pet.” Its engaging sound is exemplary of an artist with ample studio experience; Vargo has engineered music for artists on labels such as Capitol Records, EMI, Hollywood Records, Atlantic, and more.

The escalating “in the wild,” refrain exudes a soaring quality amidst twinkling keys; the orchestral touches and spacey synth infusions thereafter fully enamor. The track’s melodic growth proves satiating, expanding from quaint key twinkling amidst nature sounds into vibrant psych-rock expansion (as the talkative guitar line hits past the two-minute turn). “The Wild” enthralls throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2023’ Spotify playlist.
