Charlie Reitz – “Isolated”

/

A dreamy, hypnotic rock warmness glows throughout “Isolated,” the latest single from Rochester-based singer/songwriter Charlie Reitz. The final track on his new album Happiness Loneliness, “Isolated” touts themes apparent in its namesake, echoing feelings of loneliness within the world. “Writing this song was a way for me to try and make sense of things that are outside of my control,” Reitz explains.

Gentle acoustics and twangy guitar adornments guide into a serene vocal immersion, engrossing with introspection on experiencing grief, anxiety, and other emotions whilst alone. The “it always goes away,” uptick sends chills with its jazzy guitar tones and slight vocal vibrancy. The final two minutes mesmerize in their hypnotic assembling of trickling guitar tones, making for a warmly textured invitation into the riveting conclusion.
