Hue Hinton – “Hot Air Balloon”

//

Thematically capturing the sensation of “finding something lost,” “Hot Air Balloon” is a compelling new single from Philadelphia-based artist Hue Hinton.

Its debonair, murky rock stylings reminding fondly of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, “Hot Air Balloon” presents a grooving intrigue into a stirring lyrical proclamation: “I guess I needed some change to find my way back to you.” Thereafter, clanging piano and pulsing percussive ardency leads a magnetic, atmospheric conclusion. This is another consuming showcase from Hue Hinton, who caught our ears last year with the dreamy track “SYS.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2023’ Spotify playlist.
