Jr. – “Anything Else”

Richmond, VA-based duo Jr. showcase a lushly gripping bedroom-pop sound on recent single “Anything Else.” A late-night aesthetical appeal meshes with a dual-vocal immersion for an enchanting sound throughout.

The effervescent, dreamy synth swirls combine with a free-spirited lyrical emphasis — “I walk to San Francisco with my eyes closed,” — for an enticing sound, where the vocal layers meld seamlessly and gear into a distortion-friendly warmness to conclude this atmospheric, blissful production. The intertwining vocal layers meld with hypnotic effect throughout, maintaining a lovely quaintness though also a starry-eyed atmospheric appeal, which lingers beautifully throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
