Sundozer – “Still Life”

//

Austin, TX-based artist Sundozer captivates on new single “Still Life,” unveiling a thumping psych-rock momentum that swells from dreamy synth intrigue into a pulsating intensity. The track precedes the upcoming Death Bloom EP, releasing on March 28th and described as a “feedback laden meditation on death and rebirth.”

Dashing slabs of guitar and panting percussive complements traverse into a suave vocal presence. The “pick it up!” repeating enthusiasm aligns with bustling guitar work, and a bluesy cap-off to the verses, for a compelling initial sequence — and not letting up thereafter with a gripping rock ferocity. Swampier, feedback-friendly tones enamor alongside a more spoken-word vocal feeling thereafter, consuming into a final “pick it up,” infection to close out this memorable track from Sundozer.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
