Jointheinternet – “Nothing More to Lose”

/

A funky pop and suave rock styling intertwine on “Nothing More to Lose,” a catching new single from Jointheinternet. Based in Santa Barbara, CA, the band strut a playfully hooky vigor, lyrically admitting “we’re not here for a long time,” and seizing the day alongside breezy vocal flourishes, funky bass undercurrents, and breezy guitar swaying.

The steady rhythmic accompaniments and jazz/funk chordal integrations make for an easily engaging charm, particularly upon the “sticking in my brain,” ascent. The band and producer Thom Flowers show strongly on “Nothing More to Lose,” and we’re certainly looking forward to their upcoming album, The Holy Bible Part 2.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
