Beecher’s Fault – “If I Were You”

/

“If I Were You” is a moody pop success from Beecher’s Fault, a band based in Astoria, NYC. Prancing synth tones contrast enjoyably with a debonair bass pulse, as vocals admit “I’m a regular enabler,” with a confident drive. “If I were you, I’d walk away,” they admit with soaring, melodic immersion with a lush spaciousness, capped off by a burst of electric guitar. “If I Were You” is a melodic, warming success from Beecher’s Fault, who first caught our ears in 2019 with the track “Don’t Ask For More.”

Per the band, the track “lyrically speaks to some of the mental health issues its members have experienced over the past few years and the feelings of isolation and disassociation they can create.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
