Jonah Sirtes – “Make Me Feel (Something)”

/

Sydney-based artist Jonah Sirtes struts a danceable infectiousness on “Make Me Feel (Something),” a single that blends spacey synth components with enthusiastic vocal samples and climactic percussion. The title-referencing vocal sequence exudes a dreamy intrigue upon its emergence, as pit-pattering rhythms and buzzy synth drives culminate in a satiating effervescence upon the initial vocal sample’s re-igniting. Balancing downtempo and danceable, “Make Me Feel (Something)” is a standout from Sirtes, impressing with its sharp production and hooky structural progression.

The artist is fresh off a recent trip to Los Angeles, where he further bolstered connections — in addition to outreach on social media, which has resulted in some collaborations with talented upcoming artists. “Make Me Feel (Something)” has us firmly anticipating whatever’s next from Sirtes, whose colorful, hook-minded production and songwriting on “Make Me Feel (Something)” is consistently engaging.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
