The Derevolutions – “Modern Day Beethoven”

/

Haunting samples of classical music infuse with excitable modern rhythms on “Modern Day Beethoven,” the latest creative slice from The Derevolutions. Fresh off catching our ears in March with the track “Best Day Ever,” we now move from Pachelbel effervescence into the moody Beethoven references. Lyrically dubbed as “psychedelic improvisation,” within as ghostly choral vocals align with twinkling engrossment, “Modern Day Beethoven” continues the duo’s flair for creative whimsy and entirely unique aesthetical twists.

The project elaborates:

This is the story of a musical exorcist who steals Beethovens powers for himself. It’s a total reworking of moonlight sonata . I even used some of his own words, from love letters, mixed in with my own story. Given that, it’s probably the most unique song I’ve ever made. Again, for the second time, I maxed out the total allowed tracks in garageband. 255 (after bouncedowns).

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
