thenightsky – “Bittersweet”

/

Miami-based artist thenightsky struts a dynamic rock appeal across “Bittersweet,” moving cohesively from lush initial introspections into a distortion-friendly rock raucousness. Per thenightsky, the release “focuses on how life can have so much beauty but also still be hard.” He continues: “There’s duality to life and that shit is bittersweet.”

The “sometimes I stay up at night,” rise proves especially compelling and relatable, contemplating about the things that make us toss and turn — especially how life is full of both beauty and enormous hardship. The climactic, moody verses swell with enjoyable intrigue into erupting doses of alt-rock, coinciding with meaningful, heartfelt lyrical questions that are capped off by a dose of blistering guitar passion into the delectable final minute.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
