tenbeforetwo – “Dastardly”

/

Swelling from moody, jangly rock allure into anthemic ardor, “Dastardly” is a stellar track from tenbeforetwo. Initially a solo vehicle for Tripsitters’ Michael Moffitt, the project impresses with a gripping rock sound across the newly released EP Fun While It Lasted. Its second track, “Dastardly” unfolds through dream-pacing verses with a post-punk rhythmic tint, and into a replay-inducing central hook: “She’s so dastardly, she paints a picture that I can’t unsee.” The crunching guitars and intensifying vocals invigorate there, cementing the preceding momentum with a wholly sating culmination.
