The Mansion – “Hubris”

Detroit-based act The Mansion unveils a compelling sound on recent single “Hubris,” emitting a strong art-rock sound with jazzy elements. Spacious guitar pulses complement a melodic vocal presence to start. Breezier guitar jangles and more expressive vocal momentum stir in the approach to the two-minute mark, returning to verses thereafter cautioning against letting hubris take over. Past the three-minute mark is an absorbing array of pit-pattering rhythms, jazzy flourishes, and twangy guitar fervor, driving into an intensified, wholly satiating finale. “Hubris” is a very memorable showing from The Mansion.
