Bon Iver has been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) received nominations for Record of the Year (Bon Iver) and Song of the Year (“Holocene”). He also grabbed a nom for Best Alternative Album. He’s up against Adele, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and Mumford and Sons for Record of the Year. For Song of the Year, Vernon takes on Kayne West, Adele, Bruno Mars, and Mumford and Sons. Notice a trend?
Vernon has also been nominated for Best New Artist, despite having released his best album, For Emma, Forever Ago, in 2008. His competitors are Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, Band Perry, and J. Cole.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air on February 12th, 2012.
