Rebecca Jade – “Weather the Storm”

With 2+ decades of recording and professional vocalist experience, it’s little surprise that Rebecca Jade shows command and polish throughout her track “Weather the Storm”. The San Diego-based artist has worked with a slew of notable industry vets, including Mindi Abair, Norman Connors, and Kevin Dorsey (former musical director for Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston). These collaborative experiences have combed with Rebecca’s naturally powerful vocals and apt stylistic choices to result in an engrossing sound.

The track begins simply enough with a repetitious keyboard melody, meant to show off Rebecca’s vocal chops in advance of the instrumental expansion at the 30-second mark, where soulful keys, a melodic guitar crawl, and a smooth rhythm section enter the fold. What follows is a suave and caressing example of a soul, blues, and R&B smorgasbord. It’s a solid effort for sure. Check out the track’s music video below as well:
