Sky White Tiger – “Jericho”

An impactful track targeting a selfish ruling class and how their actions impact a countless number of oppressed victims, “Jericho” comes via Sky White Tiger, the project of Brooklyn-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Louis Schwadron. A noted artist who has toured and recorded with artists like Radiohead, David Bowie, and Rufus Wainwright, in addition to being a Juilliard-trained hornist and former Principal Horn of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra and Opera, Schwadron melds exceptional musicianship with thematic poignancy on “Jericho.”

“We built the wall, we gave it all,” his vocals open amidst a trip-hop rhythmic vibe and illuminated keys, pairing the modern-day Mexico setting with the biblical story of Jericho. Soulful vocal layers, chronicling “ancient bottles,” compel into the beckoning to “hold on to your throne.” Cinematic strings enter thereafter, furthering a fantastic production and soundscape. Full of excellent vocal delivery and suavely affecting instrumentation with striking, visceral lyricism, “Jericho” is a standout success from Sky White Tiger.
