Countless Thousands – “Webster’s Dictionary Defines Marriage As”

countless-thousands

“Webster’s Dictionary Defines Marriage As” is a fun and melodic punk-rocker from Los Angeles-based group Countless Thousands, whose new album You’re Goddamn Right was successfully funded via Kickstarter (to 300% success). The ample fanfare is easy to explain via this new track, off the album, which shows the project’s accessible nature well. While the punk-rock aesthetic is apparent especially in moments like the vocal-only closing bit, there’s an enjoyable power-pop presence apparent in the twangy guitars throughout, specifically following most vocal-heavy sections. With a fun, oooh-friendly chorus that hooks well, it touts all the characteristics of a solid punk effort with a power-pop guitar-tone accessibility.
