Inkhouse – “Corsica”

inkhouse-music

“Corsica” soars from the get-go, with a sonorous lead sporadically accompanied by backing female vocals. The trickling guitars and clanging long piano notes intertwine fluidly, the clean verses centering around the central and wonderfully harmonious hook, which is introduced immediately in the track but never fails to lose its initial glow. The track comes courtesy of Inkhouse, an alternative/indie/pop band from South London whose new EP, Haul Me Down, was released this past August. “It’s a very DIY EP, the majority of it was recorded in our singer’s bedroom,” the band explains. “We produced ourselves and Andrew (our singer) mixed and mastered it.” “Corsica” is that release’s lead single, and it’s easy to hear why.
