John Moose – “Under Bridges”

/

John Moose is an act that trace their roots to “the deep wild woods of Värmland, Sweden.” The band’s name refers to their lyrics’ protagonist, within a tale of escapism, “where he finds himself stuck in the ambivalence between the civilization and its counterpart.” Part of creative collective Anlesser, the impressive Swedish project reminds of Beach House’s dream-pop charm within a twangy, psych-rock edge on new track “Under Bridges”, off their O EP. The act released an app alongside the EP, where listeners can experience John Moose’s native woods in virtual reality. Their songs sweep listeners away on their own, with this track’s chorus being especially gripping, though that will be sure to add to it.
