Revolushn – “Dinosaurs”

San Francisco act Revolushn explore an engaging mixture of psych-rock and hard-rock on their new album Further!!, with lead track “Dinosaurs” recently scaling the Hot 100 Next Big Thing list on Spotify. The muscle-y, distortion-friendly chorus mulls a world ruled by dinosaurs, complemented by psych-friendly verses that maintain the hard rockin’ edge, though with some retrospection in the developing melody. The stylistic approach reminds of Ariel Pink’s heavier efforts, like “Butt-house Blondies”. It’s an exhilarating effort from an act with ample energy and stylistic range in the rock sphere.
