Nocturnal Animals – “Teeth”

Atlanta-based quartet Nocturnal Animals, formerly known as “Rude!”, just recently released their new EP Dark Lit Places. Opening track “Teeth” is nicely exemplary of what to anticipate, particularly a strongly melodic chorus that arises from darkly enticing verses. Vocals compare to Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner in their sly, charismatic approach, while the steady verses do well in building to the track’s core, a series of melodically enticing hooks within the “right outside my door” chorus. This is quality alternative with shades reminding of Placebo and Arctic Monkeys, with similar quality shown throughout the EP’s other three tracks. The EP is streaming in full below:
