Responders – “Face Today”

/

Responders are a rising indie-rock quintet from the south coast area of Massachusetts. They incorporate elements of blues, soul, jazz, and funk into a modern indie-rock sound, evidenced on their self-titled EP, released on August 30th. Among the release’s standouts, “Face Today”, is a melodic success, featuring a bustling rhythm section in addition to the powerful vocals. The vocals soar alongside an expansive instrumental arsenal, showcasing a suave turn at 01:46, when the bass assumes temporary lead in a form aesthetically familiar to early Arctic Monkeys.
