Desert Moons – “Come Over”

/

Desert Moons is a brotherly duo comprised of Jake and Simon Dobson, who have been playing music together since a young age, and later as session musicians in studio and live. Desert Moons marks their first project as a duo. The Australian (NSW Central Coast) act’s new track “Come Over” was produced and recorded in their home studio, showing a stellar sound with soaring synths and psych-friendly vocal fixations that remind of Tame Impala. There’s a fun alternation between huge, swelling synth distortion and more playful moments, like the “will you come over?” plea over gentle keys. The song structure shows variety and the melody is hook-y, making for a fine track.

“Come Over” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.
