First Names – “Psychobabble”

“Psychobabble” touts a suave, fuzz-rock mentality with vocal twists reminiscent of Ariel Pink, in evolving from lo-fi verses to a supremely melodic, rock-forward chorus with expansive appeal. The track comes courtesy of First Names, a duo from Austin, Texas who have released a handful of impressive singles already this year. Their full album, The Living Room, will be dropping on April 19th. If “Psychobabble” and these other released tracks (below) are any indication, it’ll be a good one with creative rock appeal.
