Lost Dog – “Backwash”

/

“Backwash” is a captivating rocker from Boston act Lost Dog, whose second EP, Don’t Feel That, released this week. The track’s sound remains consistently entrenched in a vein of playful alternative-rock, while touting some enjoyable variety — like the mellow tinge of shoegaze-y rock during the “bus up north,” section in the first minute. The “only made it to the refrigerator,” line precedes an expansion of rhythm and guitars, aesthetically reminiscent of Sleater-Kinney. The EP in general is strongly recommended, and “Backwash” exemplifies the act’s solid sound.

The band will be touring throughout the East Coast this spring.

“Backwash” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2019’ Spotify playlist.
