Dimitri von Büren – “Days of Dream”

/

Tender guitar twangs and a smooth organ backing provide “Days of Dream” with an entrancing feel from the get-go. The latest track from Paris-based artist Dimitri von Büren, who impressed with “Moonlight Confession” last year, “Days of Dream” showcases the artist’s confident vocal lead and hypnotic vein of hook-friendly songwriting. From the spoken-word suaveness around the three-minute mark — which reminds of Pulp — to the more lounge-y vocal yearnings in the verses, the lead provides ample versatility in addition to the instrumental backing — where guitars, organs, and steady rhythms succeed. Chalk “Days of Dream” as another success for this promising artist.

“Days of Dream” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.
