Hedenheim – “The Dawn”

/

Zoroaster’s Songs is an engaging new album from Hedenheim, the project of Norwegian artist Steffen Liveroed. Released on July 4th, Zoroaster’s Songs spans ten tracks of consuming alternative-rock intrigue. Opener “The Dawn” rides on trickling guitars and a dreamy backing synth, with the initial verses reminding of The War on Drugs. Additionally, hypnotic guitar work reminiscent of Johnny Marr is evident on efforts like “Friday Night Werewolf” and “Oh God, The Pressure” — where jangly guitars intermix with stirring vocals. Zoroaster’s Songs is a recommended album that can be streamed below, along with opener “The Dawn”:

“The Dawn” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
