Ka Pala – “Eggshells”

/

“Eggshells” is the catchy opener on Moon Eyes, the new EP from Vancouver act Ka Pala. Their surf-pop influence shows in the bright vocal presence and chirpy guitar tones, with jazzy sax emerging past the three-minute mark. The track’s immediate rock infectiousness and later brass-driven exploration consumes throughout all 4+ minutes. Other EP tracks, like “5’11″” and “Vines,” shine with similarly contagious charm. Moon Eyes is a very pleasant, accessible EP from Ka Pala.

“Eggshells” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock.
