Soft Streak – “Wallow”

//

Following the impressive, previously featured EP Late Bloomer in February, Los Angeles duo Soft Streak are back with two new entrancing tracks. One is “Wallow,” a moving crooner with melodic guitar jangles and light synth flourishes. The “I wallow, I wallow,” repetition plays with captivating charm, emitting an authentic sense of yearning. The other track is “Oranges,” a nicely developing effort with a self-reflective feel and soaring, effervescent vocal presence. Both tracks are further evidence that Soft Streak is a very talented duo worth paying attention to.

“Both “Wallow” and “Oranges” are about dealing with your emotions in reference to relationships at different stages,” the band says. “While “Wallow” is about unrequited love and reveling in sorrow/self-pity, “Oranges” is about admitting to yourself that maybe your relationship with a loved one has taken its course. Both songs are about being alone with your unresolved emotions and generally feeling alone.”
