Cool Company – “Halos”

The mellow yet melodically infectious “Halos” is a stellar new track from Cool Company, a duo based in Brooklyn. A breezy R&B vibe combines with hook-laden maneuvering throughout. Ukulele leads gently into a funk-tinged bass and synth combo, with multiple vocal layers touting a chilled-out allure. The “doomsday outfit,” bridge succeeds in its differentiation and helping lead into one final go-around for the hook. I’m certainly looking forward to hearing more from this talented duo.

“Halos” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
