Kevin Kaho Tsui – “Gone”

/

“Gone” is a serene track from Kevin Kaho Tsui, exuding a twinkling dream-pop tone. Lush acoustics and twangy guitars adorn the verses. This twang becomes more prominent during the gorgeous build-up, featuring emotive and halted vocals. “Gone” is a beautiful-sounding effort from this talented singer/songwriter.

“‘Gone’ was written when I was traveling alone in Japan a year ago,” the artist writes. “I was really into Cigarettes After Sex & few other dream pop and ambient pop bands at the time and I wanted to talk about my feelings in a mellow and lonely tone.”

“Gone” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
