The Hildys – “Water Won’t Flow”

“Water Won’t Flow” shows climatic songwriting from The Hildys, a band from Denton (TX). Coming from new EP Kudos, the track builds from dreamy retrospection into enjoyably raucous rock. Lazy-day vibes in the verses lead to an enjoyable blast of crunchy distortion in the climatic bridge. The track concludes with a jam-friendly, soaring section with exhilarating vocals — “carry me down,” section playing particularly well. “Water Won’t Flow” affirms The Hildys as manufacturers of exciting, engrossing songs.

“Water Won’t Flow” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.
