Chris Ianuzzi – “Summer Star”

/

After impressing earlier this year with the Olga in a Black Hole EP, Chris Ianuzzi is back with another release that entrances with spacey (and spacious) soundscapes. The New York-based artist releases the 10-track album via his Satellite Symphonics label imprint. Embracing experimental song structures and evolving soundscapes, fans of artists like Amon Tobin and Oneohtrix Point Never are likely to find appeal. Among the album’s highlights is “Summer Star,” developing from an underwater-like murkiness into a synth-fronted space-opera of a second half. The track nicely represents Ianuzzi’s creative and atmospheric grips.
