Gimme Gimme – “Grace”

//

“Grace” is a calming, euphoric listen from Gimme Gimme, the Australian brother-sister duo comprised of Esther and Will Henderson. Serene vocal swells align beautifully with the track’s optimistic string flourishes. The dual vocal delivery enchants alongside the strings, which also arrive in enjoyably weightless form during the satiating conclusion. There’s a feeling of innocent whimsy throughout, favoring nostalgia and affection through the fluttering vocal leads and chamber-pop production. “Grace” succeeds with its pleasing production and melodic content.

“We wrote ‘Grace’ while we were camping with Dad down at Wattle Flats (NSW),” Will says. “Listening to it is like jumping in a time capsule back there for us – you can feel the love and wonder we felt for this beautiful new part of our family!.”

“Grace” represents the fourth single from Gimme Gimme’s forthcoming EP, Taylor St, out early this year.

“Grace” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Mellow Pop.
