D.E.L. – “Yoko”

/

“Yoko” is a beautiful pop production with expansive structural charm, courtesy of D.E.L., a Sydney-based trio of brothers. “Teach me how to feel alive,” the vocals repeat just prior to the rise. The bustling bass-y synths and yearning, twinkling backing vocals lead an atmospherically gripping production thereafter. “Show me what it feels like, when it’s only you and I,” continues amidst the effervescent, spacey soundscape. Gentle pianos and distant vocal effects conclude the track on an aptly atmospheric note. D.E.L. blend inventive production with accessible pop charm on “Yoko.”

“Yoko” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.
