The Cloud Surfers – “Magnets”

/

“Magnets” is a rousing rocker from Australian band The Cloud Surfers. The track continuously develops structurally throughout its five-minute duration, growing from an approachable bluesy rock sound into various vocal bursts and scorching guitar work. Rounding the two-minute mark, an expressive organ backing hooks during the chorus, alongside the ardent vocal sweltering. A bluesy guitar lead-in, approaching the four-minute mark, adds further to the entrancement. The Sydney-based quartet masterfully blend together various influences — among them, “Led Zeppelin, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and AC/DC,” — with inventive songwriting and production.

“Magnets” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.
