Great Wave – “Orange Juice”

/

“Orange Juice is the latest track from Great Wave, the Scranton-based band that impressed previously with the tracks “Sorry, Darling” and “Cosmic Bowling.” Continuing the project’s knack for evolving, dreamy soundscapes and moody lyrical retrospection, “Orange Juice” is easy to get lost within. The piano-laden haunts around the mid-point play climactically and atmospherically, with a ghostly warbling effect within the guitars escalating enjoyably into the hooky “hold on tight,” culmination around three minutes in. Per Great Wave, the track “offers a message of hope, courage, & persistence in the face of adversity.” “Orange Juice” is another showcase in great songwriting and production from Great Wave.
