26fix – “A Pickle”

/

“A Pickle” is a gripping new track from 26fix. The punchy bass line and twangy guitar expressions craft a melodic intro alongside playful key adornments. “I wanted something more,” the vocals let out during the chorus, touting a more carefree, spacious quality compared to the verses’ more anxious qualities — lyrically complemented in the ensuing verses by fears of global warming and tyrants. A lush pop procession embraces during the finale, the hazy synth qualities and bass line delicately bringing the captivating track to a close. “A Pickle” is a stellar songwriting showing from 26fix.

“A Pickle” is part of a concept album, releasing next year. “This song is from one of the character’s perspective in the story, and this character happens to be a pickle,” the artist explains.

“A Pickle” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
