Molly Ringworm – “Nana”

/

“Nana” is a riveting rock single from Molly Ringworm, a band from southern New Jersey. Exuding a sound fondly reminiscent of Snail Mail, “Nana” resonates with heavy initial guitars that swell into more understated twangy qualities amidst the vocals’ emergence. “Don’t know what we’re gonna do tonight,” Sarah Holt’s vocals let out during the consuming chorus, the guitar strums and jangly qualities converging alongside the melodically gripping vocal lead. A lingering guitar emphasis, generous on the distortion, grows into a dreamier, understated charm into the three-minute turn, prior to a fully satiating conclusion.

The track and upcoming EP are “home-recorded and remotely co-produced with Kidokoro Records founder Oscar Suh-Rodriguez.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
