The Save Nines – “2 AM, Newport”

/

New track “2 AM, Newport” shows hazy, jangly rock charm from Long Island-based band The Save Nines. Atmospheric, dreamy guitars evolve into a flickering pace alongside the laid-back vocals. The gentle bass line and chilled-out percussion gives emphasis to the guitar work throughout. “You’re the thing that’s killing me,” the vocals conclude during the yearning chorus. The jangly guitars and soulful vocal pairing throughout reminds fondly of Chinese Cherry. “2 AM, Newport” has me anticipating what’s next from The Save Nines.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2022’ Spotify playlist.
