Wreath – “Opinion”

//

Presenting a lovely blend of sophisti-pop and rock, “Opinion” is a new track from NYC act Wreath. The track’s “I guess I overestimate,” sequence is enjoyably joined by guitar-fronted rise that shifts seamlessly into a dreamier quaintness thereafter; the plucky acoustics here exude a bossa-nova feeling that consumes. “Opinion” touts an eclectic structural and stylistic charm amidst vocal layers that tout a genuine brooding.

The band add the following:

“It’s a song about betrayal and feeling like you were in a situation that turned on it’s head entirely and you’re not sure how you could’ve misread something so badly. Its about wanting to move forward but feeling tethered to the past.”

“Opinion” represents the second single from Wreath’s upcoming album.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2022’ Spotify playlist.
