Rousing rocker “Do You Think of Me?” is the third single from NYC-based artist Joyce Tratnyek. Capturing the unrequited feeling of yearning for someone, the track’s title-touting refrain plays with a direct and devastating effect amidst the sludgy guitar pulses and steady rhythms.

Approaching the one-minute turn, the refrain is bolstered by escalating vocal emotion and enveloping guitar distortion; the ensuing effect is fuzzy and warming, an ideal soother to the angst. “”You’re probably with that new girl,” Tratnyek sings during the enveloping bridge, further capturing the emotion. The acoustic-minded conclusion sees the more rock-minded elements dissipate, setting for a captivating and intimate finale that wholly satiates.

Tratnyek wrote and recorded “Do You Think of Me?” in her Portland, OR basement. Longtime mentor Luke Hall added drums on the track.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2022’ Spotify playlist.
