Katie Keddie – “Maybe You Were Right”

//

Nottingham-based singer/songwriter Katie Keddie captivates with the track “Maybe You Were Right,” the second single from the artist’s upcoming album.

A serene meshing of hazy acoustics, escalating guitar fuzz, and spirited vocals compel through the first half, inducing a psych-friendly spell toward the conclusion, as the instrumentation takes over. The haunting vocal refrain at the two-minute turn, with ghostly guitar work reminiscent of Radiohead, also stands out — another fine moment on a track fully of many.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2022’ Spotify playlist.
