Scalise – “Transferred to Houston”

/

“Transferred to Houston” is a captivating new track from Scalise, a band based in the south metro Twin Cities area. The enthralling rise from twinkling keys and hazy acoustics into a rock-forward vigor plays seamlessly. Lyrical commentary surrounds feelings of “going insane,” culminating in a feeling of euphoric jacket-escaping catharsis that lingers into the resonating guitar-fronted finale.

The project, which began as a duo in 2013, thoroughly impress throughout this dynamic rocker — which was mastered by Huntley Miller (Bon Iver, Lizzo, Hippo Campus).

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
