full catholic – “healer”

/

Following one of last year’s finest albums in every dream at once (2022: #12), Minneapolis-based band full catholic deliver another strong full-length with “”all is well””. Among the many highlights is “healer,” which the band describes as “about the constant trudge for clarity and groundedness despite existing in a system that blankets us in unimaginative paradigms and the cycle of realigning one’s focus toward the promise of greater realities.”

“Healer play a part in my correction,” the vocals repeat to start, with an emphasis on the latter two words as rousing guitars embrace. Twangy guitar enthusiasm complements a more patient vocal unveiling thereafter, then delving into a gorgeously raucous array of feverish guitars. The initial refrain re-emerges with precision, building with vigor into a dynamic conclusion, stretching from hectic guitar frenzy into lushly psychedelic contemplation. “healer” is a reminder of this act’s enormous talents in regard to songwriting and eclectic tonal engrossment.
