Blonde Bones – “Bad Dream”

/

The newest track from Blonde Bones, “Bad Dream” shows a catching rock sound with shades of The Walkmen. Jangly guitar chirps and suave vocals build into the reassuring “you woke up in a bad dream, but it’s over now,” sequence.

The panting guitar presence and dynamic vocal shift, from suave to escalated, makes for a compelling sound, particularly in the “all my friends are telling me,” bridge. “Bad Dream” is a stellar, addictive rocker from this rising act, culminating in an ardent distortion-heavy conclusion that invigorates.

Blonde Bones describe the track as “about a tweaked out David Koresh inspired character driving through the desert.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2023’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
