Proklaim – “all eyez”

/

Namibia-based solo artist Proklaim concocts a heady hip-hop sound on the new single “all eyez,” whose ghostly chorus compels in its remarking of how “money makes the world go ’round,” alongside a hypnotic backing beat. Recorded in Namibia and mixed in Florida by Lu Diaz, the track emphasizes the “life is all about progress,” ethos in its opening entrancement.

Proklaim’s ensuing verses play with a fluid preciseness into the “makes the world go ’round,” hook, as ensuing verses reference the “devil in the details,” and the dangers of social media. “I’ve come to understand it’s much more,” the vocals admit in this central hook, further reinforcing the role of progress and accumulating knowledge. “all eyez” is an introspective, consuming hip-hop production from Proklaim.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2023’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
