Alejandra O’Leary – “A Word About It”

/

The stirring songwriting of Alejandra O’Leary is on full display on new single “A Word About It.” Rousing guitars and mellow synth complement a steadily melodic vocal delivery, engaging from the title-touting refrain to the bouncy, replay-inducing “that’s just what you do,” bridge. An electrifying guitar solo follows amidst serene piano flourishes, easing back into the title-bearing refrain. “A Word About It” is a stellar track that balances throwback-rock soaring with a dreamy synth-touched modernity.

O’Leary is based in Portland, Maine, and plans to release her seventh album of original songs in 2024. The track’s production also features engineer Todd Hutchisen, drummer Joe Beninati, and guitarist Jamie Church. “A Word About It” compels in its fusing of melodic vocals, versatile guitars, and lush synths; we’re firmly anticipating O’Leary’s upcoming album.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2023’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
