Breena – “At the Seaside”

/

A late-night pop, soul, and jazz cohesion take hold on “At the Seaside,” a new single from Breena, an artist based in Stuttgart, Germany. Described as “a song about trying to find answers in the wrong places,” Breena consumes with a sound steeped in confident vocal entrancement alongside both bass-fronted suaveness and illuminated soulful expanses.

“Nothing left to lose when then the lights go down in the city,” the smooth vocals intoxicate alongside a debonair bass line and mellow pulses of keys. A quaint guitar line adds further accompaniment, as the smoky vocal immersion continues to take hold, into a dual-vocal “keep on searching,” uptick in soulfulness.

The “people searching for answers,” sequence drives into a bass-y resonance, and then a striking conclusion with more ardent rhythms and illuminated synth vibrancy alongside a final “keep on searching for answers,” reiteration. “At the Seaside” is a stylish, chilled-out atmospheric success from Breena.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Rainy Days and Late Night Drives.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
