Learn to Surf – “Coming Good”

/

A harmonious rock gem from Learn to Surf, “Coming Good” infuses jangly guitar tones and serene vocal harmonizing for a blissfully melodic appeal. “Coming Good” marks the UK-based quartet’s debut release, and precedes an upcoming full-length album. They describe this single as “about making good on past promises and fulfilling commitments you may have let get go by the wayside. It’s about rekindled friendships, humility and good tunes!”

A calming rhythm section and twangy guitars traverse into a mellow vocal infatuation, with the title-touting sequence signaling a descending mystique. Shades of The Stone Roses, Teenage Fanclub, and Dire Straits co-exist with a comforting familiarity — as the dazed vocal beauty and jangling guitars converge for delectable, hooky results. “Out of sight, out of mind, coming good,” the vocals let out, capturing a state of contentedness while surrounded by good vibes, friends, and quality music. “Coming Good” is a gorgeous effort that’s easy to get lost in, representing a fantastic debut from Learn to Surf.
